BackgroundVirtual reality(VR)technology is an emerging computer technology that has been widely used in medical education and training.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)is the main measure of emergency treatment for patients with cardiac arrest.Timely and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation is of great significance for the prognosis of cardiac arrest.General practitioners are the backbone of basic community medical and public health services.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a basic skill that every medical staff must master, and the community is a place where cardiac arrests are common. This requires general practitioners to be proficient in CPR.ObjectiveTo compare the application effect of VR technology recorded cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR video and common CPR video in cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for general practitioners.MethodA total of 80 general practitioners in Chongqing were recruited and randomly divided into two groups, one group(42 trainees)was trained by watching VR video and another(38 trainees)trained by common CPR video. Then all trainees were subjected to operational examination, comprehensive evaluation and satisfaction survey before and after CPR training.ResultThe CPR operation assessment shows that the CPR operation level of the two groups of students before the training is equivalent, and there is no statistical difference;after training, the average ventilation of the VR video group students was(386.07 ± 129.90)L,the average compression depth was(54.95 ± 6.88)mm,the compression interruption time was(9.54 ± 2.21)s,and the correct compression depth ratio was(57.85 ± 24.30)%,compared with the pre-training assessment indicators(P?0.015).In addition, the average ventilation volume, compression interruption time and correct compression depth ratio of the VR video training group are mostly better than the ordinary video group(P?0.001).The comparison and analysis of the number of qualified candidates shows that the average number of qualified people after VR video training is more than the number of qualified people after average training frequency, and the proportion of qualified people in VR video group is significantly higher than that of ordinary video group(P?0.015).The final comprehensive score shows that the total score of the students in the VR video training group is also higher than that of the ordinary video group(P <0.001).In addition, the satisfaction survey shows that more students prefer the VR video training method.VR video can give people a three-dimensional experience, have a good interest, can stimulate learning interest, and help improve the quality of CPR operations for students.ConclusionVR video is novel, unique and interesting. The training effect of VR video is better than ordinary video. The VR video method can be used in the CPR training of general practitioners to obtain better training results.
