Objective:To study the expression of B cell translocation gene 1(BTG1)in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)tissues,paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues,analyze the relationship between the expression level of BTG1 with the differentiation degree,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage of OSCC,explore the clinical significance of BTG1 to OSCC.Methods:Immunohistochemical(IHC)staining was used to detect the expression of BTG1 in OSCC,paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues;Western blot was used to detect the expression of BTG1 protein in 78 OSCC and paracancerous tissues,and 40 normal oral mucosa tissues;the relative expression of BTG1 mRNA in OSCC tissue was detected by quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).SPSS 21.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Chi-square test was used to compare and analyze the expression level of BTG1 between the groups.Inspection level ?=0.05.Results:1.BTG1 was low-expressed in OSCC tissues,high-expressed in paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues(P<0.05).2.The positive expression rate of BTG1 in OSCC tissues was significantly lower than that of paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues(P<0.05),however,there was no significant difference in the positive expression rate of BTG1 between the paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues(P>0.05).3.The lower the degree of differentiation of OSCC,the lower the positive expression rate of BTG1 protein(P<0.05).4.The positive expression rate of BTG1 protein in OSCC with cervical lymph node metastasis was lower than that in OSCC without lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).5.The positive expression rate of BTG1 protein in TNM staging clinical stage?~? OSCC was higher than that in clinical stage ?~? OSCC(P<0.05).6.The relative expression of BTG1 mRNA in OSCC was(0.559±0.158).The expression of BTG1 mRNA in OSCC was lower than that in the adjacent tissues(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The expression of BTG1 is low in OSCC.2.The positive expression of BTG1 in OSCC is significantly lower than paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues,but there is no significant difference between paracancerous tissues and normal oral mucosa tissues.3.The positive expression of BTG1 is related to the differentiation degree of OSCC,whether it is associated with cervical lympha metastasis and clinical stage.
