Objective:Evaluating the relationship between mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW),C reaction protein(CRP)and Left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH)in elderly patients with hypertension,to provide a theoretical basis for judging the severity and early monitoring of LVH in elderly patients with hypertension. Methods: From January 2016 to December 2019,there were 297 elderly hypertensive patients in department of geriatric department and cardiovascular of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University.General information : age, gender, height, weight and so on.Calculate Body surface area(BSA)and Body mass index(BMI).In our laboratory,we detected serum c MPV,PDW,CRP,Creatinine(CR),Blood nitrogen nitrogen(BUN),high-density lipoprotein(HDL),low-density lipoprotein(LDL),Triglyceride(TG),Total cholesterol(TC)and other indicators.Cardiac ultrasonography was performed in all patients:Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),Left ventricular posterior wall thickness(LVPWT),and Interventricular septal thickness(IVST)were recorded.According to the Left ventricular mass index(LVMI),patients were divided into Left ventricular hypertrophy group(LVH group,n=127)and non-left ventricular hypertrophy group(n=170).Data were analyzed by independent sample t test,Mann-Whitney U test, and ?2 test.Spearman rank correlation test the ROC curveand binary logistic regression model were used to analyze the correlation between MPV,PDW,CRP and LVH in elderly hypertension and the predictive value of LVH in elderly patients with hypertension.Results:1.In LVH group,MPV was(12.57±1.57),PDW was(17.78±2.90),CRP was(9.30±1.51),non-lvhmpv was(11.00±1.44),PDW was(12.98±2.56),and CRP was(5.98±2.92).MPV,PDW and CRP in LVH group were all higher than those in non-lvh group(P< 0.05).2.MPV,PDW and CRP were positively correlated with LVMI,with correlation coefficients of 0.632,0.707 and 0.668,respectively,all P <0.05.3.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis using LVH as the dependent variable,PDW and CRP as independent variables showed that PDW(OR=1.81,P<0.05)and CRP(OR=1.236,P<0.05)were risk factors for left ventricular hypertrophy in elderly patients with hypertension.4.ROC curve analysis: MPV,PDW and CRP all had good predictive effects on hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy.PDW combined with CRP was more sensitive.Conclusion:1.MPV,PDW and CRP in LVH group were all higher than those in non-lvh group(P< 0.05).2.MPV,PDW and CRP were positively correlated with left ventricular hypertrophy in elderly patients with hypertension, and increased MPV,PDW and CRP in elderly patients with hypertension at LVH years.3.PDW and CRP were independent predictors of LVH in elderly patients with hypertension.4.In clinical work,PDW and CRP can be detected to evaluate and prevent the damage of target organs.
