Objective:Explore the epidemic characteristic and changing tendency of 8-to-10-year-old children's iodine nutrition condition,the situation of knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)on iodine of their parents in Jingyu county.Discussing the relative factors that influence people's iodine nutrition conditions,to guide health education and provide the basis for establishing a healthy lifestyle.Methods:According to the“Jilin Iodized Salt Monitoring Plot Scheme”,total of 15districts were selected in Jingyu from 2017 to 2019,5 townships were randomly selected according to their sub-area positions of east,west,south,north and center;and then 40 children aged 8~10 years(half male and half female)were chosen from every primary school.Urine and salt samples from children's home were collected for examination and do the questionnaire for the parents.Results:1.There were 600 urine samples of children were tested.The median of urinary iodine were142.2?g/L.There were significant differences between children urinary iodine status and level from different years(H=99.89,p<0.001;c~2=11,p<0.001).There were significant differences between children urinary iodine status from different ages(Z=-2.302,P<0.05),and urinary iodine status from genders(c~2=28.328,p<0.001).2.Total 600 edible salt samples were tested and the median of salt iodine content was 24.9±3.0 mg/kg.The coverage rate of iodized salt and qualified iodized salt consumption rate were98.8%respectively,which were up to the criteria for elimination of IDD.the difference among three years was statistically significant(F=4.939,p=0.007).3.200 copies of questionnaires were completed,the overall awareness rate of iodine related knowledge was46.2%.It has a high cognitive In the aspect of the seafood contain rich iodine and iodine deficiency in pregnant women,children,adolescents developmental.The differences were statistically significant in different ages(p?0.01).Parents of different ages had different cognitive in intake too much is harmful to human body,The differences were statistically significant(p?0.05).And the different awareness of the causes of iodine deficiency disorders in different level of education.There were 91.0%respondents who cooking dishes with iodized salt,and 53.0%respondents who buying salt in the village store.But only23.5%respondents can choose correct timing with salt,The differences between different level of education were statistically significant(p?0.05).A few parents knew the child urine test results and testing standards(29%)and accepted Knowledge propaganda of the IDD prevention(25.0%).TV,radio,newspapers and other mass media as the main channel.4.Compared with the Suitable for urinary iodine,parents don't think it will be harmful if iodine deficiency in pregnant women,children,adolescents developmental was the risk actors of iodine deficiency,parents agree or not in terms of perception of iodine excess,are associated with children's iodine nutritional deficiencies.but there was no factors associated with excess iodine nutritionConclusions:1.The iodine nutrition level of children aged 8 to 10 years is in a proper state from 2017 to 2019 in Jingyu county,but there are still a part of the school-age children are at risk of iodine excess and iodine deficiency.2.Parents think it will be harmful if iodine deficiency in pregnant women,children,adolescents developmental was the risk actors of iodine deficiency,and parents agree with the perception of iodine excess,are associated with children's iodine nutritional deficiencies;but the influence factors of related to children's iodine nutrition excess have not been found.3.Some parents have insufficient knowledge about children's iodine nutrition knowledge,and have unhealthy behaviors such as eating non-iodized salt,improper storage of iodized salt,and incorrect timing of salt when cooking.It is recommended to strengthen the health of iodine nutrition knowledge education.
