Clinical Application And Aesthetic Analysis Of Autologous Costal Cartilage Combined With E-PTFE In Correction Of Short Nose Deformity

Objectives:To evaluate the improvement effect of correction of short nasal deformities in our department by using autogenous costal cartilage tip shaping technology and augmentation of nasal dorsum with e-PTEF.To evaluate the application of nasal aesthetic measurement in rhinoplasty,and the reference significance of Caucasian aesthetic standard value to eastern rhinoplasty.Methods:Step 1: From June 2018 to December 2019,25 female patients in our hospital,aged between 20 and 41 years old.For the diagnosis of short nose deformity,autologous costal cartilage was used for nasal tip reshaping and e-PTEF was implanted into the nasal dorsum to correct short nose deformity.The clinical effect of this method was evaluated through postoperative satisfaction survey.Step 2: The nose length and ideal nose length before and after surgery were collected by direct measurement method for the above-mentioned rhinoplasty patients,and the relevant data of nasal tip rotation,nasal face angle and nasal tip protrusion were collected by Image Pro-Plus6.0 software 6 months before and after rhinoplasty.The changes of these four data are compared with the Caucasian aesthetic standards of rhinoplasty.SPSS 23 is used to analyze the measurement results and evaluate the reference significance of nasal aesthetic measurement in short rhinoplasty and Caucasian aesthetic standards of rhinoplasty Results:From June 2018 to December 2019,25 female patients with short nasal deformities,aged 20-41 years with an average age of 28.04 years,were treated with autologous costal cartilage tip rhinoplasty and e-PTEF nasal dorsum augmentation surgery.all patients had no history of nasal plastic surgery.All cases met the criteria of short nose deformity.All patients were followed up for 6 months or more.According to Face-Q questionnaire survey,all patients were satisfied with the postoperative nasal morphology.After the operation,1 patient suffered from partial nasal septum mucosa defect and 1 patient suffered from partial necrosis of nasal columella at the incision.All patients recovered without other complications.The measurement results showed that the nasal length,nasal tip rotation,nasal face angle and nasal tip protrusion of the postoperative patients were significantly improved,with statistical differences.The postoperative nasal length and nasal tip protrusion rate are similar to the Caucasian nasal aesthetic measurement standard values,and have no statistical significance,while the nasal face angle and nasal tip rotation have statistical differences with the Caucasian nasal aesthetic measurement standard values.Conclusion:Autogenous costal cartilage rhinoplasty and augmentation of nasal dorsum with bulking materials are reliable methods to correct short nasal deformities.They can be used as methods to correct short nasal deformities.The standard values of Caucasian aesthetic parameters are not fully applicable in eastern rhinoplasty.
