Methods Of Preventing Nasal Dorsum Deviation Rhinoplasty With Autogenous Costal Cartilage

[OBJECTIVE]:To investigate methods of preventing nasal dorsum deviation rhinoplasty with autogenous costal cartilage,and to evaluate the effect of different treatment methods.[METHODS]:From December 2014 to January 2016,85 patients underwent nasal plastic surgery were randomly selected from the patients who were treated with the application of accordion technique in Milan Boyu Plastic Surgery Hospital.Involved patients were aged from 18 to 35 years old,with an average age of 26.78 years old.In the study,optimized photogrammetric method was used for the standardized uptake of photos at preoperative,1 week,2 weeks,1 month,3 months and 6 months after operation,respectively.Meanwhile,Photoshop CS and IPP image processing software(Image-Pro Plus 6)were applied to accurately measure the curvature of each photo.Six months later,the form of telephone was used for in the follow-up period.Curative effect was observed and compared,the operation effect was evaluated jointly by the surgeon and the patient,associated with the observation of postoperative complications.[RESULT]:All patients were followed up for 12 months,there was 1 case of slight deviation in the accordion group,without the need of a second repair surgery;in addition,8 cases with deviation and 6 cases with slight deviation were found in the concentric circle group,among which 2 cases indicated severe deviation and underwent the second repair surgery subsequently.Furthermore,there are 1 cases with thin skin,resulting in poor touch of the nasal dorsum.[CONCLUSIONS]:In this paper,the technique of accordion technique with rib cartilage surface scratching can achieve satisfactory results and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.The optimization of the photogrammetric method can be used to evaluate the shape,the degree of deformation and the effect of surgical repair scientifically,quickly and intuitively.
