Traditional Chinese medicine ebushicao is from the dry whole herba of Centipeda minima(L.)A.Br.et Archers.,which belongs to the composite family.It firstly appeared in <shiliaobencao> which was written by Meng Shen in Tang dynasty and was named as ebushicao.Many ancient medical books and records indicated that its dry whole herba was used in traditional Chinese medicine.The 2015 version of the "People's Republic of China Pharmacopoeia" records: the Centipeda minima(L.)A.Br.et Aschers.was recorded as pungent and mild,and belongs to the lung.It was a kind of wind-cold-dispersing medicine.It was used to treat chill,cough,headache,rhinobyon and rhinorrhea.In recent years,many researches domestic and overseas indicated that the main chemical constituent are terpenoids,flavone,steroids,et al.Modern pharmacology researches indicated that Centipeda minima(L.)A.Br.et Aschers.has anti-tumor effect,anti-inflammatory effect and hepatoprotective effect,et al.In this study,the n-butanol extraction part of 95 % and 60 % ethanol extract of the dried herba of Centipeda minima(L.)A.Br.et Aschers.was separated by diverse chemical separation methods such as normal phase silica gel column chromatography,ODS column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography.40 compounds were isolated from the dried herba of Centipeda minima(L.)A.Br.et Aschers.,and their structures were identified by means of HR-ESI-MS,nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies(NMR),which are scutellarein(1),quercetin(2),3-O-methyl-quercetin(3),apigenin(4),luteolin(5),kaempferol(6),luteolin-7-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(7),quercetin-3-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(8),apigenin-7-O-?-D-glucuronide(9),isovitexin(10),kaempferol-3-O-?-Drutinoside(11),rutin(12),nudicaucins A(13),guaiacin D(14),p-hydroxy-benzoic acid(15),salicylic acid(16),3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid(17),(E)-sinapic acid(18),(E)-sinapic acid methyl ester(19),(E)-Ferulic Acid(20),(E)-caffeic acid(21),(E)-caffeic acid methyl ester(22),syringic acid(23),gallic acid(24),chlorogenic acid(25),3,5-dicaffeoyquinic acid methyl ester(26),4,5-dicaffeoyquinic acid methyl ester(27),benzoic acid(28),phenyacetic acid(29),(E)-cinnamicacid(30),3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl-?-D-glucopyranoside(31),vanilline(32),syringaldehyde(33),adenosine(34),uridine(35),anthranilic acid(36),D-mannitol(37),dibutylphthalate(38),bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate(39),(4R,5S,8R,9S,10 S,13R,15R)-ent-15?-(?-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid-?-D-glucopyranosyl ester(40).Respectively,including 12 flavonoids,2 triterpene saponins,6 Simple phenylpropanols,3 caffeoquininic acids and 17 other components.By means of Scifinder database retrieval,Compounds 1,7-10,13-15,18,20,23,25-27,29,31-33,39,40 were isolated from the genus Centipeda Lour.for the first time,which have enriched the chemical constituents of Centipeda Lour..
