With the valence theory as the theoretical foundation, this thesis aims at proposes effective teaching strategies based on the biased error phenomenon with a precondition of research on verbs and their classifications.Besides, the thesis also refers to the constructivist teaching theory to make the teaching design, providing some effective strategies for TCSL on prepositional bivalent verbs. To be more specific, target verb in Modern Chinese Dictionary(the 6th edition)should be collected and processed and put into CCL Corpus to be searched with a result of knowing about how the Chinese speakers use target verbs at first.Secondly, all the words are gathered up to be put into written language corpus of overseas students and HSK corpus of Peking University to see the target verbs usage of overseas students, which provides convenience for the analysis of prepositional bivalent verbs and their influence on TCSL on the basis of ontology and biased error phenomenon. There are four chapters in this thesis. In the first chapter, the research situations of the valence theory, prepositional verbs and prepositional bivalent verbs are introduced, which are all included in a system from the perspectives of semantics, syntactic match and its change as well as pragmatics. It gives a general introduction to the situation of valence and target verbs. As to the second chapter, target verbs are divided into three categories: dative, patient and object based on three exquisite semantic mode summarized by Yuan Yulin referring to the semantics and syntactic structures,on the foundation of which, the fuzziness of target verbs and some particular target verbs are introduced. Then comes the third chapter, the biased errors in written language corpus in Jinan University and HSK corpus of Peking University are analyzed.Furthermore, the biased errors are summarized into three groups: framed biased errors, unframed biased errors and mixed biased errors. The fourth chapter is the last one.Sticking to the students centered principle,it provides the effective strategies for TCSL by designing teaching cases of target verbs based on the constructivist teaching theory.
