Family education,as the basis of education,is irreplaceable by school education and social education.However,currently,the family education is faced with severe problems in China.As the cultural qualities of parents,the ideological level and social interpersonal relationship of families restrict the level of family education,therefore,family education,compared with school education,can better shape the personalities of children and affect their cultural qualities and values.This paper is composed of five chapters.The first chapter mainly makes a brief introduction to the source text and conducts an analysis on text type.The second chapter mainly introduces the preparation work prior to the translation,which includes the analysis of the source text and reference of parallel text.The third chapter mainly discusses difficulties in the process of translation and corresponding solutions.When translating this text,I have met difficulties in four aspects,including difficulty in translating abstract words,difficulty in translating run-on sentences,cultural obstacles in translation and difficultly in language expression.With regard to difficulty in translating abstract words,the meaning of words can be crystallized instead of word-for-word literal translation.Regarding difficulty in translating run-on sentences,division can be adopted and conjunctions can be added.For cultural obstacles in translation,literal translation plus annotation can be applied,annotations on sentences with cultural meaning are added based on literal translation,so that target language readers can better understand the cultural information of the source text.With respect to difficulty in language expression,communicative translation can be adopted without being restricted by the form and structure of source language,so as to make the English version more comprehensible and acceptable for target language readers.The fourth chapter mainly introduces the work required after the translation,mainly including the process of my revision.The last chapter is the conclusion for the whole paper.Through the analysis and solution of the difficulties I have met in the process of translation,the following points can be reference for others:First,in respect to the abstract words,the specific meaning can be translated with no literal translation.Second,with regard to the translation of run-on sentences,division can be applied by dividing the run-on sentence into several sentences and conjunctions can be added.Third,for cultural obstacles in translation,literal translation plus annotation can be used to enable the target language readers to better understand the source language.Finally,for difficulty in language expression,communicative translation can be adopted to focus on the target language readers with no restriction in the form of source language,so that the translation can be more comprehensible and acceptable for target language readers.
