This report is based on the on-site English-Chinese consecutive interpreting of an orthokeratology lecture interpreted by the author.Guided by Gile's Effort Model,this report analyzes the influence and relevant interpreting strategies of bilingual competence,memory,note-taking skills of the interpreter and PowerPoint in on-site consecutive interpreting.This report consists of five chapters.The first chapter introduces the task,and the main purpose of the interpreter is to convey the speaker's information as accurately as possible and keep the atmosphere active.The second chapter gives a brief description of the interpreting process which includes pre-interpreting,during-interpreting,review and assessment.The third part introduces the basic concepts of Gile's Effort Model and the interpreting formulas.The fourth part analyzes the interpreting process under Gile's Effort Model.The last part is conclusion which summarizes the gains and losses the author derived from this practice. |
