"Utopia" contains two meanings; the first one is human's idealized home. Based on this level of understanding, in Ren Mian Tao Hua and the first three chapters of Shan He Ru Meng, Ge Fei uses the "Utopian narrative". Of course, he shows the richer oriental Utopia under the succession of Chinese idealists and the Utopian vision of Western ideologists. Another means of "Utopia" is non-existing state. The "Anti-utopia narrative" is used in the final chapter of Shan He Ru Meng. This narrative culminates in Chun Jin Jiang Nan, and continues to the first half of Yin Shen Yi. On the time selected and focus of criticism, Ge Fei and Western Anti-utopia writers are different. But they share the same goal in their works, that Utopia declared in any case cannot be achieved. Throughout Chinese and foreign writers, they may use Utopian narrative or dystopian narrative; but Ge Fei is not. Both Utopian narrative and dystopian narrative are used in his works; what's more, the two formed a kind of narrative thinking game. In fact, whether it is to imagine, explore Utopia, or to question, criticize Utopia, they have exposed the weaknesses of Utopia: absurdity, vanity, blindness, fantasy, alienation and nothingness. They penetrate, interpret, complement each other in the novels, and achieved the effect of intersexuality which shows the unique of the Ge Fei Utopia narrative. Ge Fei Utopian critique does not end in Chun Jin Jiang Nan, but continues to Yin Shen Yi. However, the paradox is that, Ge Fei returns to Utopian narrative the traditional in Yin Shen Yi. Obviously, Ge Fei tries to form a mysterious strange, a little gap "circle" with the first three works. Also, he makes the four works from the beginning of Utopian narrative, developing to dystopian narrative, and ultimately achieves the great blend of Utopian narrative and dystopian narrative. Finally the history of Utopian thought of Ge Fei is emerging and a painful dilemma of Ge Fei's thinking is clearly presented. Also, Ge Fei seeks relief and access to redemption in the blend of Utopian and Anti-utopia.
