A Practice Report Based On The Principle Of Objectivity In Mistranslation Of Interview Interpretation

Under the circumstances of globalization,culture exportation has become a key issue in international competition.There are many forms of cultural exportation,such as the movie,tourism and variety shows.An interview is a typical way among them which can make the world be aware of our culture.The author chose one episode of People in News to make a simulated interpretation and the guest is a super model Liuwen who is a representative of Chinese super models.In this episode of People in News,the whole interview was made around typical individual's basic circumstances.The author also described the differences between the Eastern and the Western culture.This interview was interpreted under the principle of objectivity and the author did a detailed description about how the principle of objectivity guided this interpretation.First of all,to interpret this interview,the author must look up lots of related vocabularies.The background of the interviewer and the professional words must be interpreted carefully.Secondly,the process could be difficult for the author chose simultaneous interpretation to interpret the interview.The author hopes this simulated interpretation can provide experience to the same type of interpretation on how to interpret under the guidance of principle of objectivity correctly.And,it also describes how to deal with the mistranslation during an interpretation.At the same time,the innovation in this report is the process of how to do an interpretation in a common interview.This report consists of three parts,introduction,the main body and the conclusion.The first part is introduction which briefly introduces the background of this interview and the realistic significance of the report.The second part is the main body which includes three parts:The first chapter is task description.The author introduces the main content and the importance of this interview.The principle of objectivity in interpretation is also explained in this chapter.The second chapter is process description.In this chapter,the author describes the process of preparation which includes the specialized vocabulary.Strategies used in the process were also summarized.The third chapter is case analysis.The author points out the importance of the principle of objectivity in interpretation.Then the author analyzes some problems which are easily met.Finally,the author analyzes how to interpret under the principle of objectivity through several cases.The last part is conclusion.In this chapter,the author mainly summarizes the whole thesis.Then the author emphasizes the significance of the principle of objectivity and what a good interpreter should be like.Finally,the author summarizes the experience during this practice.
