Police Training In The Early Period Of Taiwan's Recovery

After Cairo Conference in 1943,National Government began to prepare for the recovery of Taiwan.In September 1944,Central Police College set up Taiwan Police Cadre Training Class(which was known as "Tai Gan Class"),planning to expand the training of Taiwan police officers actively.Members of this class were trained and trained by the system of pol ice education,in order to gain knowledge of Taiwan's situation and pol ice affairs,also to acquire skills and working methods.They had dual identity of "trainee" and"trainer",and contributed a lot to Taiwan police training in the early period of recovery.After going to Taiwan,Tai Gan Class members didn't only use their knowledge to join the enterprise of taking over Taiwan police administration,but also brought the patterns and methods of police education there.They actively took charge in training volunteer police and local police,as well as popularizing mandarin and other tasks.Basing on their own work experience,combining with school knowledge and industry trends,they trained and helped local police officers,in order to inherit the teaching style of Central Police College and put Taiwan police training on track to develop steadily.Tai Gan Class members who only used about one thousand people to take over the huge police affairs during Japanese occupation period,have promoted successful reception of the whole province,laying the foundation of postwar Taiwan police administration and keeping the peace of Taiwan society.At the same time,conbining Taiwan police training of two periods,they played an important role in this connecting l ink as the bridge between cross-strait police training mechanism.
