The study of historical commercial geography is a new and developing field of historical geography.The paper chooses Hezhou commercial geography during Qing dynasties and the Republic of China as the topic.The river trade routes and three kinds of market are starting points.The paper makes a systematic study of Hezhou’s markets and three kinds of market during Qing dynasties and the Republic of China.It mainly studies the development evolution and regional distribution laws of a variety of markets and route construction.The dissertation analyzes formation of land and water traffic patterns.And also considers the development evolution of Hezhou’s town markets,rural fairs,financial markets and regional distribution law and influence,in order to provide an important scientific basis and historical reference for region markets development and construction.Making some contribution for development.At the same time,it is beneficial to the development of commercial and economic society.This dissertation consists of three parts: introduction,body,conclusion and enlightenment.The part of introduction is general remarks.It mainly elaborates the motive and objective of this article.Then illustrates the paper’s research perspective,research methods and related concepts on the basis of the review of academic history.The part of body includes five chapters.The first chapter summarizes the basic of Hezhou’s commerce’s development foundation from the natural geographical environment and human geography environment.The second chapter mainly discusses the trade routes construction of Hezhou from the perspective of commercial transportation condition.The paper also discusses various types of transport organizations formed in the territory for a long time.The third chapter,fourth chapter and the fifth chapter states the development of the town markets,rural fair,finance markets which also summarize the markets’ distribution characteristic and influence factors on this basis.The conclusion summarizes the trade routes,market development and the layout features during this time.At the same time,on the historical experience and lessons of the area in the construction of “The Belt and Road”should be learned their own views.The main innovation of this paper lies in: on the one hand,selecting the typical area of Hezhou,applying the basic theories and methods of historical geography,investigate and discuss the development of three major commercial market and trade routes.The paper also summarizes the regional distribution characteristics of the rural market and financial market and the mechanism of the environmental impact of the commercial development.So it can make a little contribution to the construction and development of historical business geography.As well as provide number of experience for the business development and economic and social development in Linxia today.One other hand,previous studies on the business of the Hezhou mainly focused on the Tea-Horse trade,however the discussion of rural markets,the market’s geographical distribution structure and its influencing factors form the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China’s urban are lack.There is no systematic research has been published so far.This paper tries to fill in some aspect.So we can have a more comprehensive,deeply understanding to Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China of Hezhou’s Commercial Development.
