| With the development of the time and education,an increasing number of female receive the high-level education and come into the workplace. However, the female who work together with males do not have the equal opportunities. They face the gender discrimination during their work.Sally Helgesen and Julie Johnson, the authors of The Female Vision, appeal to the public to pay attention to the value of female vision. They argue the value and importance of female’s vision by analyzing what will see based on the female’s vision, the elements of female’s vision and the benefits of acting on female vision.According to Reiss’s analysis of Textsorte(Reiss,1977),The Female Vision could be categorized as the informative text, mainly talking about a subject or a fact with the logical language. The informative text focus on the content of the text,to which the translation text should be loyal in direct language. The translation is mainly based on the three rules of Skopos Theory, which is the skopos rule, the coherence rule and the fidelity rule.Different specific translation strategies would be applied in lexical level, syntactic level and text level under the guidance of the Skopos Theory. In order to insure the fidelity for the source text, translation strategies like lexical transformation, amplification, transliteration with notes are used in the lexical level;for the purpose of ensuring the coherence of the target text, the translation strategies like reinventing sentence structure, adjusting the syntactic order and following the original syntactic order would be used in syntactic level;besides, the translator pays attention to the logic relationship between the texts and adds logical connectives in text level.Translation is a comprehensive process which can hardly work well with a single strategy. Therefore,in order to convey the source text faithfully,to keep the same style with source text as soon as possible, and to insure the target text coherent, the translator should utilize various strategies in response to the different situation in the process of translation. |
