Under the background of the "Belt and Road Initiative "strategy implementation、BCIM economic corridor construction and GMS cooperation,the bilateral relations between Yunnan and Southeast Asian countries is becoming more and more compact,Yunnan turn into the front of opening.Languages services as basic guarantee,there are more and more minor languages talents are needed,languages applied talents training has become an important trend.Based on the along-border Universities and Vocational Colleges in Yunnan,this research conducts an empirical observation and comparative study on applied talents training of Southeast Asia minor languages.Through research methods of literature analysis and in-depth interviews,and on the base of getting firsthand data,by the theory of system and resource dependence,this research analyzes the applied talents cultivation of Southeast Asia minor languages in two colleges in the three aspects of curriculum setting and talents training orientation,curriculum setting and teaching,students recruit and employment,show their common and difference characteristics.According to the research,in comparison,undergraduate universities put more stress on the the study of language theory,application characteristic is not obvious,while vocational colleges focus on language skills,career orientation is obvious;Besides,applied talents training of minority languages in Yunnan colleges and universities is still at the difficult starting stage,the lack of students resource、teachers、books are common problems in Yunnan colleges.In view of the current situation and existing problems in the two types of colleges and talents training of minority languages in Yunnan,this research puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions:the reformed applied undergraduate colleges and universities should put more emphasis on students’ practical skills;Higher vocational colleges should make full use of the frontier advantage and strengthen the specialty of minor languages;College students should more independently carry out professional study and practice under the guidance of teachers;In terms of talents training of southeast Asia minor languages,local government should have better macro coordination,policy support and information disclosure.Only when colleges,universities,students and the government behave in accordance with the standards of"applied talents" can local colleges and universities in Yunnan provide applied talents for the construction of "the radiation center facing to South Asia and Southeast Asia"and play a proper role in serving local economic and social development.
