With the impact of emerging cultural patterns and changes in consumer entertainment consumption patterns, the cultural and ecological structure of Chinese traditional opera has also undergone tremendous changes. Many types of traditional opera that have historically been popular with the people have gradually lost their dominant position. In this context, how can the government, market, society and other parties deal with the impact of the popular culture upon the traditional culture. How can the traditional opera be better preserved and passed down becomes an important factor affecting the prosperity and development of the traditional opera. Therefore,it is self-evident that it is important to research the inheritance and preservation mode of the traditional opera. This paper chooses the experience of the inheritance and preservation of Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art as a case, analyzes the current situation faced by the Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art and summarizes the inheritance and preservation mode of Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art.On this basis, this paper points out the problems and its solutions in the process of inheritance and preservation of Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art, providing references and lessons for the inheritance and preservation of other traditional opera. This paper is based on Lasswell's 5W propagation model, using the agenda setting theory and stereotype theory, through the interview and literature method. This study finds the inheritance and preservation mode of the Wu Chou art, which is a multi-party coupling mechanism including government intervention support, theater groups' cooperation, inheritors' living protection, and schools' personnel training, the various media utilization and so on.Of course, there are also problems in the training. This paper analyzes the problems and solutions from four aspects including the communication subject, the communication channel, the communication content, and the audience. At the end of this paper,it is proposed that we should build an inheritance and preservation mode of the traditional opera that contains "the governments, the schools, the performing organizations, the media, and the inheritors".Structurally, this paper consists of six chapters. The first chapter is the background introduction which introduces the background and significance of the inheritance and preservation of the traditional opera, and briefly introduces the content and process of the training of young actors of Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art.The second chapter is the literature review which contains the relevant research situation and theoretical framework at home and abroad, and provides theoretical support for the later research. In this part,we summarize the studies on the inheritance and preservation mode of the traditional opera and Japanese traditional arts and the foreign studies on the inheritance and preservation of the traditional opera and intangible cultural heritage. And we introduce the theories used in this paper. The third chapter is the research method which introduces the case study, interview and literature method used in this paper. The fourth chapter is the research finding which analyzes the current situation of the Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art,the inheritance and preservation mode of Ye Shengzhang Wu Chou art and the problems encountered in the process. The fifth chapter discusses the suggestions for the inheritance and preservation of other traditional opera. The sixth chapter is the conclusion which summarizes an inheritance and preservation mode that can be emulated based on the discussion.
