This article selects the first volume of the New Concept Chinese and the first two volumes of the Standard Course HSK which is appropriate for the new HSK exam of the primary chinese textbooks as the research object,comparing these two teaching materials in the construction,compiling of texts,arrangment of new words,grammar notes,designing exercises,chinese characters and cultures present,Analyzing their similarities and diffenences,advantages and disadvantages.Based on the practice of tutoring the local chinese teachers of public high school in the Philippines,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions for revisions and improvements,so as to provide some references for the writing of the primary chinese textbooks for new HSK exam and promote the chinese teaching materials' compiling quality.
