This is a report on English-Chinese translation of Australia 2025,which is published by Griffin Adelaide and presents the view's of 15 eminent Australians on how they see sectors of their nation evolving in the 50 years to 2025 AD.The translator is in charge of the translation of culture part that belongs to informational text, whose function lies in the presentation of objective facts(Newmark,2006:223).Because there are a large number of nouns, the sentence structure is more complex in syntactic level. So the translator chose the skopostheorie principle that has strong operation and practical worthiness to guide the translation,in which lexical problem is solved by free translation and amplification, and syntactic problem is solved by splitting and reversing.According to this translation practice, the translator realizes that there is a strong theoretical guiding value for non-literary translation practice under skopostheorie principle. Some translation strategies and methods are concluded in this report, but there are still other translation strategies and methods need to summarize, and the translator hopes to make up for this regret in the future translation practice, and the translator sincerely hopes that this report would provide reference for non-literary translator.
