The practical materials are from the books of the Australian Research Center in Mudanjiang Normal University. This work introduces the development of history in society and culture in Australian rural areas.According to the characteristics of cultural texts,Susan Bassnett's cultural translation concept is adopted as a guiding principle for translation. In the whole process of translation, the author pays more attention to the transmission of cultural information, and the subject of language which sees the language users as the center of translation rather than the traditional language object. In the case analysis, the author discusses and analyzes the translation methods are adopted in translation from two aspects:cultural words translation and parenthesis in long sentence translation. The methods used mainly in the translation are deduction, explanation, division, and restruction, etc.Throughout the translation process, the author realizes that Susan Bassnett's concept of cultural translation has a great theoretical guiding value in the process of translation. At the same time, the author also noticed that the translation process should not merely be confined to simple language transmission, but should give priority to cultural transmission. The author hopes to provide a new perspective for the Australian Research Center to study the development of rural economy in Australia, and to provide references for the translation enthusiasts of Australian rural culture.
