| The Spanish Civil War(1936.07.18-1939.04.01)which is regarded as the prelude of world war II caused international riots in the 1930s.During which span the international situation dramatically changing,the poor undeveloped countries exploring their way out and undeveloped China and Spain facing similar domestic upheaval.China,while at war against Japan's aggression,paid great attention to the civil war that flagrantly declared by Franco regime supported by fascist Germany and Italy in Spain,for the similar situation.Due to the distance between China and Spain,and the difference in language and culture,translation was the major way through which China's academia learned about Spanish civil war.During 1936-1945,massive Spanish civil war theme reportage,political papers,poems,novels,dramas,paintings,photographs and other translated texts were disseminated to China,which described the struggle against fascist forces caused a strong reaction and provided Chinese people who were fighting against Japan with remarkable experience and enlightened Chinese people to think about their own destiny.However,not enough researcher's attention drew by the influence in China's academia of this remarkable historic event.This paper regards the Spanish civil war theme translation works as the researching object,discusses the effort generated by those works for China in the war period.The introduction part introduces significance,situation,ideas,methods and difficulties of the researching.This paper,whose first chapter arranged and summarized the Spanish civil war theme translation works aimed at making statistics and classification of the translations and having a clear grasp of the general situation of them,by analyzing the source and screening mechanism of the translation works concluded that in the Spanish civil war theme translated texts there was obvious left-wing tendency.The second chapter,on which basis the first chapter,makes a specific analysis of this tendency reflected in Fang Xin's translated poems in comparison with Huang Yaomian's and draws the different presentation of Spanish civil war in different regions of wartime China and why these difference exists.The third chapter discusses the mobilization of foreign images,especially the Spanish women's performance in civil war for wartime China,and makes a general summary of the Spanish women's images presented by various publications in this period,and analyzes the communication and influence of Ibarruri's individual image,and points out the internal reasons why Spanish women images arewidely introduced to China,which influenced a lot on Chinese women's character building in wartime.In the fourth chapter,the Spanish civil war theme three albums and six books compiled by Ba Jin studied.By the analysis of the title revised,the pictures selected and introduced in the albums and the books,discussing where the three albums compiled version differs from the original ones,and on which the six books concentrated which were under the influence of editor's individual experience,aesthetic,values and faith.The conclusion summarizes the whole paper and points out that the translation of the Spanish Civil War texts is influenced by various factors such as translator,history,politics,society and so on,especially the left-wing movement and the anti-Japanese war. |
