Separable words is a special phenomenon in modern Chinese.It's also one of the difficulties in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.So far,researches focusing on acquisition of separable words of Thai intermediate learners are few.This thesis try to find out the Thai intermediate learners acquisition condition of separable words using the questionnaire survey method.And try to put forward the specific teaching strategies based on the survey result.So as to help Thai intermediate learners acquire the separable words better.This thesis concludes six parts.First part is the introduction of the thesis.It introduces the research background and reasons for the selection of the topic,the research goal and values,the research contents and methods,the theoretical basis of the research,It finally reviews the research achievements on separable words.Second part is the chapter one,the first chapter mainly describes the acquisition of separable words of Thai intermediate learners.It includes the principles of the survey and the designing of the questionnaires.Moreover,It also includes the description and analysis of the survey results.Third part is the chapter two,the second chapter analyzes the errors of the questionnaire B.First to divide the errors into eight categories based on the Chinese grammar: A+auxiliary+B,A+attributive+B,A+complement+B,reduplication,negative,inverted,mixed form,A+B+object.Then to analyze the reasons of causing these errors.they are the four factors: first language negative transfer,target language negative transfer,learning strategies and misleading teaching.The fourth part is the chapter three,the third chapter puts forward some specific countermeasures from three aspects according to the results of the questionnaires and the errors analysis.From teachers' point of view,they need to improve their professional quality,teach by stages and use flexibly varieties of teaching methods.From teaching materials' point of view,they need to clearly label the part of speech first,then classify the explanations and give the specific forms,lastly design the various and real exercises.From learners' point of view,they need to keep a positive learning attitude,develop scientific and reasonable learning strategies and communication strategies.The fifth part is conclusion of this thesis.This part summarizes the main points of the thesis and points out the shortcomings of the study and the directions of future researches.
