The development of modern art has changed the way people see the world,which provides multi-level angles to discuss the essence of art and creates richer visual image languages.Art brut,as a new type of art,hasn't been influenced by any classical art or pop art and has a strong original creative character which does not meet value of traditional sense,aesthetic experience and object.It does not only influence the development path of modern art,but also stimulates the space and form of artistic creation,which is a powerful challenge and extension to the traditional aesthetic concept.The analysis of the art brut works is not only a bridge to the original and irrational spiritual world,but also a way to realize the spiritual freedom and transcendence of art brut artists.In addition,the research of the art brut is also an effective way to understand the inner world and artistic thinking of the mentally ill since some of the brut artists are psychopaths.Therefore,the exploration and research of brut painting have immeasurable effect on grasping the future direction of art development and promoting the innovation of contemporary art.Because the history of art brut concept is short with limited related research,so this article will take the art brut and its creator as the research objects.Through the exploration of the art brut and the analysis of the art brut painting artist thought,this article will try to find the characteristics of art brut artists in terms of painting art,and then to obtain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the whole art and its related problem.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly introduces the research purpose,current research status,research ideas and research methods of this paper.The second part introduces the concept of art brut and its three categories;The occurrence and development of art brut painting art.The third part shows the uniqueness of the brut painting art through the original and autistic features of the brut painting.On the one hand,the original nature of the brut painting is discussed through the analysis of children's innocent thinking,the connection between the “crazy” mental state and the original painting artists,and the spontaneous characteristics of the creative motive and creative process;On the other hand,it shows the originality and self-entertainment of the painting and the existing anti-museum and non-commercial autism.The fourth part discusses the differences in creation between different art brut artists.Specifically,it selects a representative painter from mental patients and psychic people,as well as the three types of native art creators of highly subversive and marginal folk art artists to analyze their style,theme,Differences in psychological structure,emotional patterns,and behavioral patterns.The fifth part discusses the value of brut painting by combining the unique nature of the third part.First,the therapeutic effect on mental health of patients with mental illness;Second,the influence of brut painting on the school of art,and birth to new artistic ideas and expression form;Third,discuss the subversion of traditional aesthetics from the perspective of aesthetic object.
