With rapid development of Chinese modern cities,we have had convenient transportation,abundant entertainment,developed scientific technology and more increasing material standard of living.The evaluation of competitions between cities has initially changed from economic data to cultural soft power.However,in urban construction,many cities have neglected their internal cultural charm due to their pursuit of efficiency and copying the template.Therefore,the cities lose their own personalities and lead to the embarrassing situation that many cities look the same.Culture is the root of a city as well as even a nation.Besides,we have the gene of Chinese civilization from the birth.In the city we live in,our living styles and habits are influenced by local culture.As the saying goes,“each place has its own way of supporting its own inhabitants.” Therefore,each place with its own typical culture can stand out in urban competition when it has reasonable exploration.It should be the first aim to understand cultural connotation of ancient city Chengdu and create unique visual image,present the urban personality and establish the city's typical cultural card.Then,Chengdu will stand out in severe urban competition,which will improve comprehensive power of Sichuan,the Land of Abundance.Based on the development of Chengdu's urban cultural and creative tourism visual image,the project takes cultural and creative tourism as research background and find the way out from Chengdu's regional cultures.Through establishing Chengdu's personal card of cultural and creative tourism,it explores a way of visual image design of cultural and creative tourism.In addition,in the analysis on excellent cases of design from home and abroad,it is learned that regional cultures can enrich urban visual images and put forward the ideas of keeping local cultural features,exploring local cultural creative ideas and visual image of personalized urban cultural and creative tourism.Taking the example of Chengdu,it establishes visual images of urban cultural and creative tourism and conducts complete exploration of its urban cultural elements.With the creative examples of 100 cultural and creative scenic spotsin Chengdu,it finally integrates image design into application design so as to create unique cultural and creative products of urban tourism,which is good for the promotion of urban cultural and creative tourism.Then,it will promote the quicker and better development of Sichuan tourism industry.
