With the rapid development of urbanization in the 21 st century,the focus of urban construction is gradually shifting from emphasizing urban infrastructure construction to paying attention to urban visual image design,trying to create intangible assets of the city through visual image and disseminate the spirit of the city.Therefore,many cities are promoting and building their own city brand through various construction activities or urban visual image design.However,due to the construction of over-modernization,the phenomenon of homogeneity between cities is aggravated,and the inheritance and development of urban regional culture is gradually disappearing.In order to make the city image have more profound cultural connotation,unique cultural charm and obvious identification characteristics,it has become the only way for the sustainable and healthy development of the city to shape the city visual image design on the basis of regional cultural differences.The author cites some forward-looking cases of urban visual image design at home and abroad to play a guiding role in practice,and combines the author's actual visits to cities to collect a large number of materials.The analysis shows that the visual image design of a city is closely related to the local regional culture.This paper will follow the research process from theory to practice,combined with the author's living city of Nanchang,from a visual point of view,to analyze the current situation of urban visual image design in Nanchang,and put forward the strategy of "introducing" regional culture into urban visual image design in Nanchang.In the fifth chapter of the thesis,the author makes a comparative study of the living cities of Nanchang and Chengdu,compares the similarities and differences between the two cities from the perspective of regional characteristics and urban culture,and finally takes the deduction of the image design of the Metro commemorative ticket card "Tianfu Country,YumiNanchang" as the creative practice,with the purpose of studying the design and shaping of the urban visual image under the regional cultural differences.To solve the problem of "how to shape a distinctive and dynamic visual image design of the city".At the same time,thinking about how to use the new graphics and new style of expression to explore the urban visual image design,the author hopes to combine the regional characteristics of Nanchang and Chengdu to play a positive role in promoting the culture of the "two cities",so that the visual image design of the "two cities" can keep pace with the times and meet the aesthetic requirements of the times.The unique cultural connotation,quality characteristics and local customs of Xiacheng play a powerful role in displaying its own unique city image brand.
