Investigation And Research On The Current Situation Of Nuo Opera In West Hunan

As an intangible cultural heritage of China,"Nuo" has been inherited from the witchcraft of the primitive period to the various kinds of dramas of today."Nuo" has always been inherited in a constantly changing culture,and it is one of the witnesses of the development of traditional culture in China.Drama is called "living fossil".In the Xiangxi region,the Nuo opera continued to evolve over the centuries,and the connotation of the sedimentation became more profound.It absorbed the foreign culture on the basis of the continuation of the local culture,and finally formed a Nuo opera with local characteristics of Xiangxi.As a carrier of Wuchu culture in Xiangxi area,Xiangxi opera is a reflection of people's production,life,values,and ethics in Xiangxi area.It has become an important part of people's daily life.This article starts with the historical origins and cultural characteristics of Xiangxi,analyzes the characteristics and styles of Xiangxi Nuo opera from the form of Western Hunan Nuo opera,and affirms the contribution of Xiangxi Nuo culture in enriching the diversity of China's intangible cultural heritage.This article first summarizes the basic situation of Xiangxi region,the definition,origin and evolution of Xiangxi opera.Then it introduces the origin and evolution of the Nuo opera in the Yi,Tujia,and Miao areas,and eventually develops into the Nuo opera in today's ethnic minority areas.Specific investigations and descriptions were conducted on the existing status,repertoire,props,costumes,and current performers of the Nuo opera;and corresponding questionnaires were made to calculate simple probabilities.From the existing repertoire,we analyze the cultural connotations of each of the three ethnic minority operas and sum up the existing cultural features of the Nuo opera in the entire Xiangxi region.The author believes that there are three characteristics of religious,secular,and regional characteristics in Xiangxi opera.Finally,according to the survey and the feedback from the questionnaire,a simple summary of the existing problems in Xiangxi Nuo opera is made,and on this basis,corresponding countermeasures are proposed.The main research result of this article is to investigate the status quo of the Nuo opera in Xiangxi region.Nuo opera in different regions is a product of different cultures.From the Nuo opera,we can see the local culture and analyze its cultural connotation.At the same time,proper social investigations will help increase people's awareness of the protection and inheritance of Nuo opera culture,and allow Nuo opera to survive in the long river of long history.
