Investigation And Exploration Of The Current Situation Of Xi Opera In Its Birthplace

With the development and change of cultural life,Chinese local drama is faced with numerous tests of survival and inheritance.As a typical local opera,Xi opera is in danger of shrinking audiences,getting older,and not enough market cultivation.Based on the deep emotion of the traditional culture and the strong interest in the local opera,the author investigates the current situation of the Xiju opera in Wuxi,the birthplace of the opera in many aspects:first,the inheritance of the professional practitioners of the opera and the old Xiju Lovers'groups;second,the theme of the opera in the elementary school students includes the script.The origin of primary school children and migrant workers' pupils in di Xi opera.On the basis of investigation and comprehensive analysis,this paper puts forward the survival predicament and problems of Xi Opera in the above two groups in Wuxi area,and puts forward some suggestions and strategies for sustainable development,hoping to provide some valuable and meaningful reference.
