Language is an important communication tool for human beings. In everyday life,we communicate with each other the information about the world,as well as the content of the expression, the attitude to the listener and the emotion. The speaker's attitude and expression is the modality factor of language, which is the soul of his sentence. The ultimate goal of language use is communication. In order to make communication smoothly,it is necessary to follow the politeness principle and the proper principle. And if we want to use the imperative sentences in modern Chinese properly,we must choose different ways of tone expression(including intonation, accent, mood tail, performative verb, performative auxiliary verb)and imperative person's demonstrative words according to different communication occasions. It can be seen that the end of the sentence is one of the important factors that affect the appropriateness of the imperative sentence. In Chinese and Vietnamese parts of speech system, imperative words are often used by Chinese and Vietnamese. However, there are few results in the comparative study of imperative words in Chinese and Vietnamese. This article chooses Chinese and Vietnamese imperative mood as the research object, and makes a comprehensive comparative analysis to illustrate the similarities and differences between the two.Based on a contrastive study of imperative words in Chinese and Vietnamese, this paper hopes not only to lay a foundation for the comparison of modal particles in Chinese and Vietnamese imperative sentences, but also to contribute to the study of linguistic ontology.
