The bilingual teaching of Zhuang language and Chinese has been carried out for sixty years.Along with this long period of ups and downs,the bilingual teaching materials of these two languages are constantly experiencing various types of development and changes.In order to meet the new requirements for bilingual education in Zhuang autonomous region,the Education Department of this region has designedly implement the second bilingual teaching mode of Zhuang language and Chinese,and has compiled the matched teaching materials for use.This paper aims to understand the process of compiling the teaching material-“Zhuang Language”,and to investigate the use of “Zhuang Language”in bilingual schools via fieldwork.Through these two aspects,the author intends to explore the development of the bilingual teaching of Zhuang language and Chinese.This paper based on literature collection,field surveys and other methods;and in the perspective of educational anthropology and bilingual education to study the compiling and use of bilingual teaching materials.The paper mainly includes three parts: introduction,body,and conclusion.The first chapter gives an overview of the overall situation of bilingual teaching materials of Zhuang language and Chinese in Guangxi.The second chapter explores the idea and process of the compiling of the teaching material “Zhuang Language” which is applied for the second-grade teaching mode.The third chapter understands the using situation of the “Zhuang Language” in Menggong,Qintang,Guigang.The forth chapter summarizes the main achievements and dilemmas of bilingual teaching of Zhuang language and Chinese in the past few years,and puts forwardsome corresponding solutions.Through the research,the paper reaches the follow conclusion: the teaching material “Zhuang Language” which being compiled and popularized at present focus on the learning and use of Zhuang language,and pays attention to the dissemination and inheritance of traditional ethnic cultures.These worthy of recognition aspects makes the teaching material favoured and recognized by teachers,students,and even parents.However,there are still many difficulties in the development process.How to ensure the sustainability of its development is the top priority of the current work.
