As an important language skill,English reading is not only the purpose of English learning,but also the means of English learning.Therefore,English reading teaching has always been the focus of junior high school English teaching.This also requires us to improve our reading teaching level.However,the obstacles of junior high school students in English reading make us reflect on our reading teaching.On the basis of summing up the achievements of previous researches on dyslexia,this paper uses questionnaires to investigate and analyze the main reading disorders of junior high school students,and verifies the results of the questionnaire by-analyzing the positive answer rate of three examinations.Finally,the reasons for the students' dyslexia are obtained through the interviews between teachers and students;finally,different suggestions are put forward in combination with the above results.In this paper,I find that:1.The obstacles in English reading of junior high school students include visual factors and non-visual factors.Among them,79.9%of the students think that the small vocabulary will affect the understanding of the article.Grammatical obstacle:69.6%of the students do not understand the omission,inversion,emphasis,virtual and other fixed sentence structure.When reading a text,67.9%of the students can understand the main idea and sometimes do not understand the causal or logical relationship between the paragraphs.Non-intuitive obstacles mainly include five aspects:reading interest disorder;background knowledge obstacle;reading skill obstacle;reading habit obstacle;English and Chinese thinking obstacle.Background knowledge 79.7%,reading interest 71.7%,reading skills 60.57 and reading habits(more than 80.1%)are the non-intuitive obstacles faced by students.2.English reading disorders of junior high school students are mainly caused by eight aspects:vocabulary,grammar,discourse,reading skills,reading habits,reading interests,background knowledge,and thinking between English and Chinese.3.According to the students' reading obstacles and their causes,this thesis puts forward eight suggestions:1)measures to remove lexical barriers 2)measures for removing grammatical obstacles 3)measures for removing discourse obstacles 4)measures for removing obstacles of Reading skills 5).In addition to reading habits,the countermeasures are as follows:(6)the countermeasures to remove the obstacle of reading interest;(7)to remove the obstacle of background knowledge;(8)to remove the obstacle of thinking in English and Chinese.This thesis is the application of reading comprehension and language teaching theory,as well as the summary and reflection of my teaching practice,and the analysis of the obstacles in reading comprehension of junior middle school students by means of questionnaire survey.On the basis of this,some suggestions are put forward for junior high school English reading teaching and students' reading learning.It is hoped that it will be helpful to the practice of junior high school English reading teaching,and it will also be useful for the improvement of students'reading level.
