Naga is a part of Southeast Asia local area such as Northeast Thailand,Laos and Cambodia religion.According to pictures or sculptures,Naga appearance is a huge snake with a crest on its head,fish-scale body,live in water,and be able to transform itself to be a man.There are several Naga species,each of them would be differed by appearances or power.Ancient people worship Naga as their rain god,if they respectfully worship Naga,it will make rain fall to mankind.Since Southeast Asia is agriculture society,Naga therefore would be highly respected.The faith of Naga or huge snake is one of Southeast Asia traditional religion,although later Hinduism and Buddhism were spread to this area,people's Naga faith is never vanished,it even played an important role in origin of Southeast Asia first state "Funan State",Naga played an important role in its origin story to show indigenous belief and politic power.Naga has itself long history,whether Naga is really existed,or only live in the imagination of believers,but we would insist the close relationship between Naga and mankind is real.Currently,Naga believe just hide in the shadow of culture,and it is believed and worshiped from people in modern society.
