Practice Study Report On Chinese Translation Of English Soft News In Putclub

With the development of the world,English news has become one of the main ways for Chinese people to know the world.Soft news,both interesting and in light and touching styles,is easy to attract readers' attentions.It enables readers to appreciate foreign cultures,promoting the exchanges between Chinese and western culture.And also,English soft news become the first choice of domestic media and news dissemination business to achieve better profits.Translation of English soft news,which have unique characteristics in language and style,must be different from hard news translation.Therefore,soft news translation and its researches are increasingly important and essential.This report is based on the Chinese translation version of English soft news accomplished during the author's internship at Putclub.It can be divided into six parts.The introduction part briefly introduces the purpose and significance of this translation practice and its research status in China.Chapter One introduces the background information and significance of the translation task at Putclub.Chapter Two describes the whole translation process,including pre-translation preparation,translation process as well as post-proofreading.Chapter Three is about the the aesthetic theory of acceptance,serving as the theoretical basis of this analysis,as well as its guidance on this translation projects.Chapter Four is the case analysis,in which the author analyzes the translation practices of English soft news under the guidance of aesthetic theory of acceptance at lexical level,headlines level,syntactic level and discourse level.The sixth part is the conclusion,in which the author elaborates her experience gained in the research process and also she comes up some suggestions for further study and related researches.
