Study On Comparison Of The Basic Color Terms Of Chinese-Thai And Strategies Of Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

We live in a colorful world and colors permeate all spheres of life.The basic color terms are part of almost all languages,although they are different in different language systems.There are abundant color terms in both Chinese and Thai languages.With the increasing interaction between China and Thailand,the basic color terms have become an important content which can not be bypassed in cultural exchanges.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the origin of the topic and the significance of the study.The second chapter,based on the definition of the basic color terms of Chinese and Thai languages,and discussed five basic color terms.The third chapter introduces the associate meanings of color terms in Chinese and Thai languages,and explains the social and cultural connotation behind them,which is helpful to further strengthen the understanding of color culture in both countries.The fourth chapter summarizes the bias of Chinese color terms in the Southeast Asia Chinese Corpus,and puts forward the strategies and suggestions of the Chinese color words for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Thai,which have some reference significance for Chinese teaching.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,summarizes the work,the basic point of view and the main innovation of this paper,and puts forward the prospect for the further study of the relevant topics.
