A Review Of Foreign Language Educational System Management In Late Qing Dynasty

The study of the foreign language education system in the late Qing Dynasty is an important issue in the history of Chinese modern education and it is also a problem of the current related literature.This article makes use of existing literature materials to focus on a brief historical review of the basic facts of the emergence,development,and evolution of foreign language education in the late Qing Dynasty.It is further pointed out that on the basis of the start-up of the Westernization Movement and the further development after the Sino-Japanese War,the Qing government promulgated The first administrative regulation that passed through the country,the "Guimao Education system" provided a blueprint for the establishment of foreign language courses and teaching management at major and secondary schools in China at that time and later.Through the brief analysis and discussion,the basic conclusion reached in this paper is the promulgation and implementation of relevant laws and regulations on foreign language education and academic system management in the late 20 th century.To some extent,it has adapted to the objective needs of the development of social culture and education at that time.Foreign language education changed from a simple language communication tool before the Opium War to the period of the Westernization Movement.It became a universal subject for the dissemination of Western scientific and technological knowledge,and then became an independent foreign language major subject after the Sino-Japanese War.This change has played an important and fundamental role in promoting China's modern foreign language education and educational system management and promoting cultural exchange activities between the East and the West.
