All things in the world have their own laws,and the same applies to Chinese characters.Compilation of Chinese characters in textbooks needs to follow the laws of Chinese characters to the utmost extent,so as to reduce the difficulty of learning Chinese characters and improve the efficiency of learning Chinese characters.This paper chooses two new comprehensive Chinese teaching materials,including "New Practical Chinese Textbook" I and "Today Chinese " I,compares and analyzes the Chinese characters in the two textbooks,and combines the relevant research as well as the questionnaire survey and teacher interviews,in order to provide reference for future textbook writers and researchers.There are mainly three aspects of the article’s comparative analysis of the Chinese characters of the teaching materials.They are the basic knowledge of Chinese characters,the selection and use of characters,and the practice of Chinese characters.The comparative analysis of basic knowledge of Chinese characters is mainly from the Chinese strokes,orders of strokes,structure,components and other knowledge about Chinese culture.The selection and use of characters is mainly from these three aspects :the word type,word order,and distribution of characters.The comparative analysis of Chinese character exercise is from the Chinese pronunciation,word meaning and word shape,as well as the number of questions and the types of questions of these two angles for a comprehensive comparison.Through the above studies,this paper draws the following conclusions:First of all,the distribution of basic knowledge of Chinese characters should be kept in a balanced manner,so as to be more detailed and appropriate,and to avoid concentrating knowledge in several classes for teaching,and it is best to permeate throughout the book.The selection of basic knowledge of Chinese characters must be consistent with the stage of learners,and the knowledge of Chinese characters must be covered.Secondly,it is necessary to avoid complete “literal literacy” and it is necessary to control the Chinese characters in the teaching materials.In the speech stage,someunique characters with strong ability to build characters should be arranged reasonably to lay a good foundation for the study of fit words.We must also pay attention to the rank and word order of Chinese characters so that we can learn Chinese characters from shallow to deep.Finally,it is necessary to make a moderate amount of questions,diversify the questions,and combine the pertinence and comprehensiveness of the questions.
