From the Anti-Japanese War to the Civil War,Sichuan has ranked the first in the country in the calendar year.As an important province of the KMT,Sichuan was the big rear of the Kuomintang during the Civil War of the Kuomintang. With the long-term large-scale recruitment of the Nationalist government in Sichuan, the panic atmosphere caused by the shortage of food resources has continued to grow, and the importance of food resources has become increasingly apparent.Due to the fatigue of the Nationalist government's handling of the grain shortage problem in Sichuan, coupled with natural disasters, this has led to the further spread of the grain shortage. Moreover, with the expansion of the grain shortage problem,it has had a very bad influence on Sichuan's economic, political, military, and social security issues. The author took Sichuan as a research point during the Civil War of the Kuomintang and Communist Party of China and focused on the development and changes of the grain shortage during the Civil War between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The specific reasons for the formation of grain shortages at this stage, the government's response, and the typical social events and government cases concerning grain shortages are emphatically analyzed. To explore how the grain shortage in Sichuan has been aggravated during this period, and the failure of the grain shortage problem has spread to all aspects of society and politics. In addition, while analyzing the generation and development of grain shortages,it also reflects the contradictions that the central government, local governments, and non-government organizations have created in the Kuomintang area represented by Sichuan during the Civil War.“Increased by the whole body,” explains the complex relationship between the three.Eventually,it will reveal the deep-seated reasons why the Nationalist government lost the mainland.
