Multi-functional adverb "You" has the characteristics of the high frequency of use,complex and diverse usages in modern Chinese."You"is classified as "Class A" in Chinese Words and Chinese Characters Outline Level,and it is the content that should be learned in initial stage of learning.However,according to the actual situation of "You",the order of teaching for different meanings should be different.Based on the preliminary investigation,we found that:foreign students have some problems in the acquisition of "You",such as:the learning focus of foreign students and the usage of the native speakers does not match;foreign students may avoid to use "You" when they can not master them and so on.In this paper,We propose teaching suggestions towards "You"based on frequency of different meanings in modern Chinese Corpus,the acquisition of foreign students in HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus,the acquisition order of foreign students,the objective conditions of textbooks and other factors.This paper is divided into four parts.Chapter ? mainly introduces the reasons and practical values of choosing this topic,research methods,source Corpus,and an overview of current studies about this topic.Chapter ? investigates the actual situation of "You" in modern Chinese,sets up modern Chinese Corpus,classifies different meanings of"You" in modern Chinese,thinks that:the usage of "You" can be roughly divided into five categories,with a total of eleven small classes,and puts them into order according to its frequency of different meanings in modern Chinese Corpus.It also compares "You" with some confusing words,such as:"Zai","Ye" and "Hai" from the aspects of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.Chapter ? puts different meanings of "You" into order according to its correct output situations in HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus and compares them with the order from modern Chinese Corpus,founds the difference between native speakers and foreign students,summarizes that"You" in the interlanguage is characterized by insufficientusage of frequency and there is a large cognitive gap between the main meanings,sorts the type of errors and analyzes the reasons to cause the errors in HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus.On the basis of the above work,this Chapter also analyses the questionnaire survey among foreign students in the International College of Chinese Language And Culture of Hunan Normal University,sorts acquisition order of different meanings based on the average accuracy,undergoes overall acquisition summary of"You",and proposes that:the different meanings of "You" should be studied at different levels.Chapter ? investigates the widely used teaching syllabus and textbooks,mainly from two aspects of covering the scope and the first place of the meaning,and puts forward some suggestions for teaching"You" combining with the above work.
