As a common word,the mandarin Chinese adverb "Zhen" is used in general for Chinese language learners whose mother tongue is English,but at the same time,there are many errors when they use this word.Through field research,we analysis the survey results,summarize the causes of errors,and put forward relevant teaching suggestions,combined with the theory of comparative analysis,error analysis and the second language acquisition theory,in order to provide some positive significance to the future Chinese language teaching.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly describes the purpose and significance of this study.Through the study of the adverb "Zhen” and status of the second language teaching,we can draw the conclusion that the study of the adverb"Zhen" is not enough.Especially in the second language teaching field,the research about the adverb "Zhen" is much more than the contrast research,and lack of pertinence teaching suggestions.The second chapter is about the study of the "Zhen" of Chinese language learners whose mother tongue is English.This chapter concludes fifteen grammatical structures and usages of the adverb "Zhen".According to the structures and usages,we design a questionnaire to investigate the correlation of the Chinese language learners who are domestic and foreign.The third chapter is analysis the cause of the error which made by Chinese language learners whose mother tongue is English.Through the analysis of the second chapter,this chapter is to explain the reasons for the errors of the acquisition of Chinese language learners,such as the negative transfer of the mother tongue,the negative transfer of the target language,the influence of surrounding environment and the factors of the learners themselves.The fourth chapter is about the teaching strategies of "Zhen" of the Chinese language learners whose mother tongue is English.It mainly includes strengthening the contrast teaching,creating the language environment,enhancing the correct guidance,and we put forward a method of combining the specific cognitive strategies and meta cognitive strategies of the adverb “Zhen” for the first time.The fifth chapter is the conclusion: To sum up the full text of the research work,pointing out the shortcomings of this paper,and to ask the teacher to criticize and correct,in order to make a contribute to the future research work.
