A Study On The Cursive Appearance Of Clericalization

Clericalization is the most complicated process in the evolution of Chinese characters,and it's the watershed between ancient Chinese characters and modern Chinese characters.In this process,the ancient characters are open and interventional.The unstable status during the process,which makes it possible for generating new characters.Clericalization dissolved the configuration principle of seal characters.Chinese characters started transforming from pictographic characters to symbolic characters.Unordered characters processed to be unitizing,systemizing and restricting.During Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty,clericalizing is most intensive.The primacy motivation of clericalization is people's demand on fast writing so that we can say clericalization is achieved by cursive writing.It's the most common standpoint,which clericalization started from the fast writing of Qin's seal characters.Because of the fast,shortcutting,and cursive writing,Chinese characters changed in essence.Then Chinese characters changed from ancient characters to modern characters.In terms of calligraphy,there were objective cause and subjective choice on the change of cursive appearance occurred.Cursive writing makes the change of writing practices and characteristic structures,and from then onwards calligraphy generated from Chinese characters little by little.I am going to explore the origin of calligraphy,and the value in practice,by study the cursive appearance of clericalization.
