As the key competencies continues to penetrate,subject key competencies and its cultivation become the focus of academic research.English is a compulsory subject in the education stage of Junior High school,and English key competencies occupy an important position in Junior High school students' key competencies,which affects the overall level of students' English competencies.What is the connotation of Junior High school students' English key competencies and how to cultivate Junior High school students,English key competencies is a much-needed new topic studied by people,the current research on this aspect is quite weak.Therefore,the author focuses on the Junior High school students'English key competencies and divides the paper into two major sections:First,constructing Junior High school students,English key competencies system.It is based on the domestic and foreign current research on foreign language(English)key competencies,combing through Junior High school English curriculum objective or outline in the past 30 years of reform and opening up and the system of Senior High school English key competencies to reveal the evolution of English literacy requirements at different times,hence combining all the research to formulate the system of Junior High school students' English key competencies.Junior High school students' English key competencies system consists of three pillars,English application?English emotion?English thinking;Eight branches,reading ability?the ability of preliminary composition?communication and presentation skills?positive learning emotions?open and inclusive multicultural attitude?logical thinking?creation and criticism;One sublimation point,Junior High school English comprehensive practice activities.Second?Research on Junior High school students' English key competencies and their cultivation strategies.This paper is based on the understanding of the research problems and the analysis of the research objects,a questionnaire survey was made on three dimensions of Junior High school students' English key competencies,an empirical study was conducted on some teachers and students of three schools in loudi city district.The study found that the English application ability development imbalance,reading ability is good,but reading less is restricted their reading skills,the ability of the preliminary composition is weak and also is the most neglected,communication and presentation skill is good,but students in class have little chance to communicate and express less in English;the cultivation of English thinking is not in place,the cultivation of logical thinking is better,but the cultivation of creative thinking and critical thinking ability are seriously inadequate;the English emotion training is not caught enough attention,the student study interest is generally not high,the cultivation of multiculturalism is marginalization.Through in-depth analysis,the author divided the causes of these problems into:School,there is a deviation in the School education philosophy,exam-oriented education was tended to be serious;Teachers,they are lack of ideals about key competencies,the textbook and the teaching content is choose one-sided,the teaching method is monotonous and lacks innovation,there is not enough emotional interaction between teachers and students in class,lack of teaching activities and so on.The author proposes five countermeasures:1?Reconstructing the concept strategy.From the school's point of view,update the school philosophy,develop Junior High school English course,study on English classroom teaching in Junior High school;From the teacher's point of view,to establish a comprehensive and correct Junior High school students English key competencies concept,adhere to the correct concept of English curriculum and teaching.2?Attach great importance to the body' strategy.Play the leading role of teachers,improve the key competencies of teachers,guide?command and dredge the teaching process;Play the main role of students,use interactive teaching methods,adopt the teaching mode of cooperation?communication and inquiry.3?Competencies infiltration strategy.Select the works of British and American literature and experience diverse cultures,optimize the reading section and set up the thinking problem,integrate the unit material and increase the writing,extend the teaching content and optimize the job design.4?Optimize the process strategy.The real life situation function dialogue as the link,promote the application ability to go hand in hand,organize a variety of English class activities to activate mind during activities,discuss activities in open culture to cultivate students' English emotion.5?Flexible method strategy.Master and innovate a variety of teaching methods,and then use them flexibly and appropriately.
