Aesthetic education is an education that nurtures healthy aesthetics and develops the ability to appreciate beauty and create beauty.It plays an important role in training students’education of the all-round development of morality,intelligence,body,beauty and labor.On September 15th,2015,the ministry of education released the opinions of the general office of the state council on comprehensively strengthening and improving the work of the school’s aesthetic education.It pointed out that aesthetic education is the sentimental education and spiritual education that can promote intellectual development,enhance aesthetic quality,encourage spirit,and warm the soul.However,currently in the process of high school English teaching in China,there are too much emphasis on knowledge,which neglects the cultivation of students’pragmatic competence and the development of personality and the perfection of personality.This cannot fully excavate the potential of students.In the course of teaching,the pursuit of beauty and appreciation of beauty is one of the experiences of students’daily English learning,and it is an important process of students’real learning to experience the beauty of the content and formal beauty of English textbooks.In English teaching,teachers guide students to appreciate the language materials,from the perspective of aesthetic feeling and understanding,to make students understand beauty in a subtle way,to grasp the method of beautiful language,learn to express beauty and create beauty.In this case,the creation of beauty is to guide students to create beauty through the output of English writing.Therefore,in this paper,according to the authentication theory in foreign language learning by Van Lier and the educational esthetics theory,to explore new ideas of integrating aesthetic education into high school English teaching and how to solve some problems that exist in high school English classrooms.This study uses literature,questionnaire,interview and composition analysis method to explore the current situation of aesthetic education in senior high school English teaching,and then explores the strategies for the combination of English teaching and aesthetic content in English textbooks in senior high schools.This study consists of three aspects.First of all,the questionnaire for students of a Senior High School in Dalian and the cognition,attitude,understanding and implementation of the aesthetic education in the interview of teachers were analyzed.Secondly,by collecting and analyzing students’composition to explore the existing problems in the implementation of aesthetic education in senior high school English teaching.Finally,according to the results of questionnaires,interviews,and composition analysis to propose appropriate strategies for effective implementation of aesthetic education in high school English teaching.This research mainly revolves around three questions1)What is the present situation of aesthetic education in high school English teaching and the causes of the current situation?2)What are the effects of the aesthetic class on students’written English?3)What are the strategies for the application of aesthetic education in high school English teaching?This study shows that the current understanding of aesthetic education among students and teachers is not very clear.However,they still have a positive attitude towards the integration of aesthetic education into classroom teaching,and the ability of teachers to implement aesthetic education has improved,but there are still many problems to be solved in the implementation of aesthetic education in high school English teaching.This paper puts forward that to penetrate aesthetic education in senior high school English teaching in three aspects of teaching process,teachers and students.It is found that integrating aesthetic education into senior high school English teaching and creating an aesthetic English class can help students improve their English writing ability.This study provides some valuable inspiration for the integration of aesthetic education in the English teaching of high school.Aesthetic education cannot be separated from high school English teaching.In order to meet the requirements of quality education,the traditional English teaching mode should be reformed,and it is necessary to actively take measures to combine English teaching with aesthetic education in senior high school.However,due to the limited time and the few research subjects,there exists certain shortcomings and limitations in this research,which need to improved in the future study.
