The Creation Exposition Of The Documentary "He Zhou Calabash Craftsman Bai Zhengbing"

China has a splendid history of five thousand years,and after years of baptism,it bears a large number of rich fruits of intangible cultural heritage.Fortunately,these massive intangible cultural heritages continue to be inherited and developed with the progress of society and the times,but there are some parts that disappear with the passing of the inheritor,which is not only the loss of the Chinese nation,but also the loss of the world's civilization.Especially in such an electronic age,machinery slowly replace manual,immaterial cultural inheritance is more difficult.But it is in a cold age when technology is getting more advanced that people need handmade works of art full of temperature and emotion to enrich and decorate their lives.Gourd carving of Linxia people have a unique carving techniques,the work created out of the beautiful design,fine lines,however,at present,there is not much literature research and documentary shooting on gourd carving,which symbolizes the traditional handicraft with national characteristics.Gourd carving of Linxia is facing the dilemma of inheritance and development,it is urgent to spread and develop it in various ways.This documentary shows the development and inheritance of this traditional culture in Linxia through interviews with Bai Zhengbing,a folk artisan of gourd carving.Through this documentary,I hope to learn about the carving of calabash and play an active role in its inheritance and development.
