The Comparative Study On The Glyphs Of Xiaozhuan Of Five Editions In Shuowen Based On Chinese Character Form Database

"Shuo Wen Jie Zi"(hereinafter referred to as "Shuo Wen")is t he first radical dictionary in our country,with 540 leading the whol e book.In the long history of the development of Chinese characters,Shuo Wen played a crucial role.Shuo Wen was written in the Ha n Dynasty and its academic value should not be overlooked."Versi ons of the scene,such as vine pavilion,draw the ancient cabinet,t he possession of Song,imitation Song Xiaoyu Ben and so on.The most important issue of the version is the difference of Xiaozhuan zigzag.Therefore,the five versions of "Shuo Wen" in the CCFD et ymology database of Bohai University as the fonts and the Xiaozhu an as the research object,Word and the word within the departmen t to compare the similarities and differences,and to find out the re asons for the differences in glyphs,the final proposal for the small seal glyphs,UNICODE organizations can provide an important ref erence for the collection of small seal.According to Mr.Wang Ning's theory of Chinese morphology and Chinese font theory,compare and contrast Xiaozhu's glyphs in five versions of "Shuo Wen" of the corpus and compare them accor ding to the principle of objectivity and exhaustiveness.Qualitative c ombination of methods to ensure that the comparison process and t he results of the scientific and effective.By comparison we found th at in the five versions of "Shuo Wen," the 540 Chinese characters of the same type were 413 in the same pattern,accounting for 76% of the total number of characters.There were 127 characters indifferent forms,accounting for about 24%.In the five versions of the "Shuo Wen",7480 characters of the same type have the same c haracters,accounting for 67% of the total number of characters.Th ere are 3632 characters with different shapes,accounting for 33% o f the total number of characters.The reasons for the differences bet ween the two types of Xiaozhuan are divided into objective and su bjective reasons.The objective reasons include the complex characte rs of Xiaozhuan,the publication of cursive characters and avoid tab oo words.The subjective reasons include the different calligrapher's level of calligrapher,the difference of engraving artist's aesthetics,Different understanding of the small seal font.Through comparative study,find that the system of seal script glyphs in Chen Ben's Shu o Wen is more rigorous and beautiful,which can be used as the b asic basis for UNICODE's collection of small seal glyphs.
