Newspapers and periodicals reading course is a language skill course for international students.It cannot only be compulsory course,but also be elective course.The compilation of newspapers and periodicals reading textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language began in the end of 1970 s.Nowadays newspapers and periodicals reading textbooks published in the domestic have more than 20 kinds,among which more representative is Reading Newspaper,Learning Chinese a Course in Reading Chinese Newspapers and Periodicals and its revised edition.The research of newspapers and periodicals reading textbooks is not only a practical subject,but also an era subject.Therefore,with the development of international students' Chinese teaching career,it's very necessary to continue to study the compilation of newspapers and periodicals reading textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language.The thesis puts the two sets of textbooks Reading Newspaper,Learning Chinese: A Intermediate Course in Reading Chinese Newspapers and Periodicals and Reading Newspaper,Learning Chinese: A Course in Reading Chinese Newspapers and Periodicals Intermediate · New Edition as the research object.It roundly analyzes the compilation principle,and objectively analyzes compiler's compilation purposes by analyzing teaching materials' choices.The thesis is divided into four chapters: Chapter one analyzes newspapers and periodicals reading course and textbooks.Chapter two mainly compares the two sets of textbooks.In order to analyze compiler's ways to achieve curriculum goals and degree of achieving curriculum goals,the thesis mainly analyzes as the following three aspects: Firstly,the comparison of compilation system.From the points of the whole book framework and the unit framework,the thesis compares the compilation system.Secondly,the comparison of the textbook content.From the points of the main article,vocabulary teaching,counselling information and exercises,the thesis compares the textbook content.The analyses of the main article are divided into the topic,genre and text-selecting source.The analyses of the vocabulary teaching are divided into the word amount,the word degree,the word note,new words and the fixed structure.The analyses of the counselling information are divided into the background knowledge,the text lead-in,the difficult sentences' analysis and the reading newspaper knowledge.The analyses of the exercise are divided into the exercise amounts and the exercise pattern.Thirdly,the comparison of format design.From the points of the visual input means and the audio input means,the thesis analyzes the format design.Chapter three mainly analyzes and summarizes the two sets of textbooks' advantages and disadvantages.Chapter four points out the compilation suggestions of newspapers and periodicals reading textbooks.Limited to conditions,the thesis mainly analyzes the compilation situation of newspapers and periodicals reading textbooks and has problems in the teaching practice.It is lack of the practical investigation about the accordance among the selection of the textbook,the compilation system and the teaching objects' learning needs.The lack is only filled up by the writer's coming work and others' research.
