Research On The Relationship Among College Students’ Adult Attachment,Interpersonal Trust And Self-disclosure | | Posted on:2019-05-13 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:J Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2405330545971584 | Subject:Applied Psychology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | The psychological health of college students is increasingly concerned self-disclosure is the process of sharing personal information in their interaction with others,which is an important indictor of the psychological health of college students interpersonal trust is the basis of interpersonal relationships,which also affect the mental health of college students.After entering the university,as the individual grows up and matures,their attachment object gradually shift from parents to peers,that is adult attachment.Adult attachment can not only affact self-disclosure,but also indirectly affect it through interpersonal trust.This study used the Experiences In Close Relationships Inventory,Interpersonal Trust Scale,and Distress Disclosure Index to investigate 600 college students,exploring the relationship between adult attachment,interpersonal trust and self-disclosure,and the mediating effect of adult attachment.The results of the study are as follows:1.The adult attachment status of college students is good,and the number of secure attachments is the largest.The attachment status is in the middle to upper level,and the interpersonal trust level is in the lower middle level,and the self-disclosure is slightly lower than the middle level.2.There is a significant difference in the adult attachment of college students at the grade level.Specifically,the scores of attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety for the junior and senior students are significantly higher than those of the freshmen and sophomores.There is a significant difference in attachment avoidance at the level of major and love experience.Specifically,the scores of polytechnic students are generally higher than that of liberal arts students,and the score of college students who have no love experience are significantly higher than those of college students with love experiences.3.There are significant gender differences in interpersonal trust among college students.The concrete manifestation is that girls’ interpersonal trust is higher than that of boys.Female students generally score higher than male students.Interpersonal trust and universal trust have significant differences at the grade level,specifically as a sophomore.The junior and senior students have higher interpersonal trust than the freshman students.4.There is a significant gender difference in the self-disclosure among college students,which shows that the self-disclosure level of girls is higher than that of boys.The level of self-disclosure has significant differences in grades,which specifically shows that self-disclosure scores of sophomores and juniors are significantly higher than that of freshmen.Self-disclosure differs significantly in terms of majors,which shows that liberal the scores of arts students are higher than that of students in science and engineering.5.There is a significant correlation between college students’ adult attachment,interpersonal trust and self-disclosure,and attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety have a significant negative predictive effect on interpersonal trust and self-disclosure.However,interpersonal trust has a significant positive effect on self-disclosure.6.Interpersonal trust among college students plays a part of the intermediary role between adult attachment and self-disclosure. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | college students, adult attachment, interpersonal trust, self-disclosure | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
