The Relationship Between Interpersonal Trust Level,Adult Attachment And Locus Of Control In College Students

Objective:To research on college students' interpersonal trust level and its influencing factors;To discuss college students' interpersonal trust,adult attachment and locus of control status quo and mutual relations;To check up if locus of control Plays a role of intermediary between adult attachment and interpersonal trust.Methods:I surveyed samples(366 subjects)by interpersonal Trust Scale,Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory,Internality.Powerful Others and Chance Questionnaire to Probe into the Present situation and the relationship between college student's interpersonal trust,adult attachment and locus of control.Results:1.The total mean score of interpersonal trust(71.57±8.64)was lower than the theoretical value of 75 Points;The Proportion of fearful type,Preoccupied tyPe,dismissing type and secure type were 50.3%,21.3%,15%,13.4%;Three factor of locus of control were internality(29.70±5.52),Powerful others(17.50±7.37)and chance(18.29±6.55).2.Interpersonal trust correlated negatively with attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety(P<0.001,P<0.05);Intepersonal trust correlated Positively with internality(P<0.01)and negatively with Powerful others and chance(P<0.001);Attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety had no significant correlation with internality(P>0.05),correlated Positively with Powerful others and chance(P<0.001)3.Powerful others and chance Played mediating role in attachment avoidance and interpersonal trust(The mediation effect value were 31.35%and 24.84%);Powerful others and chance Played mediating role in attachment anxiety and interpersonal trust(The mediation effect value were 96.02%and 73.29%).Conclusions:(1)College students' interpersonal trust level in the medium to low state;the highest Percentage of college students' adult attachment is fearful type;Most of college students' locus of control tend to be internality;(2)College students'interpersonal trust,adult attachment and locus of control has a different degree of statistical correlation;(3)Locus of control is the intervening variable between adult attachment and interpersonal trust.
