The purpose of this study is to investigate the condition of theirpersonality traits, interpersonal trust and adult attachment. the study usedInterpersonal Trust Scale(ITS) and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ) to examine550college students, At the same time The study alsoexplores the relationship among personality traits,interpersonal trust andadult attachment of college students, in order to further understand deep-levelmechanism which influences college students’ interpersonal psychologicaldevelopment. It is hoped that the study can help to reduce the avoidance andanxiety of college students in close relations and promote students’ security.Moreover, it can help students use the related attachment theory to develop apositive relationship, and eventually promote their positive formation ofpersonality. What matters most is to provide more reference for collegestudents’ psychological health and psychological consultation on interventionin improving their personal relationship that teachers have done.The conclusions are as follows:(1)There was significant difference of singleton on Extraversion(E) andNeuroticism (N) of college students’personality. There was significantdifference of birth place on Neuroticism (N).There was marked significantdifference of grade and love experience on personality traits all factors. OnPsyehotieism(P) and Extraversion(E) of college students’personality,therewas significant difference of major.(2)The Interpersonal trust of college students is a little higher than themiddle level.There was marked significant difference of gender,major andsingleton on Interpersonal trust of college students.(3)The attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety of college studentsis a little lower than the middle level.The secure attachment accounts for the largest proportion,the second is the fearful attachment,the third is preoccupiedattachment, and dissmissing attachment accounts for the lowest proportion.(4)There was significant difference of gender on the attachmentavoidance. On the attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety of collegestudents, there was significant difference of singleton, love experience, genderand major.(5)There were significant differences in personality traits andinterpersonal trust of different attachment types of college students.(6)There was marked significant correlation among Extraversion(E) ofpersonality and interpersonal trust of college students. There was markedsignificant correlation among interpersonal trust and attachment anxiety ofcollege students, but there was not marked significant correlation amonginterpersonal trust and attachment avoidance. There was not markedsignificant correlation among personality and attachment avoidance, at thesame time there was marked significant correlation among personality andattachment anxiety,(7)College students’ Extraversion(E) of personality significantly influ-enced their interpersonal trust, their interpersonal trust significantly infuencedtheir attachment anxiety and their all personality traits significantly influencedtheir attachment anxiety.(8)Through the mediating effect test of interpersonal trust betweenpersonality and adult attachment of college students, it could be learned:interpersonal trust was mediator between personality and adult attachment,personality influence adult attachment by interpersonal trust indirectly.
