As the "second face" of humans,vocal plays an important role in the process of interpersonal communication.Therefore,in the complex context of interpersonal communication,people will continuously observe the members of the communication group through the observation of some non-verbal information such as vocal,face,behavior and so on.With all the non-verbal information they can get from those aspects,these will help them form the perceived trustworthiness of the strangers and based on the trustworthiness to form the impression of the people to decide whether they should keep the "friend" or keep away from the "enemy".Stereotypes play a crucial role in the process of trait inference and impression formationTherefore,this study is based on the previous research on vocal stereotype,puts forward the notion vocal trustworthiness stereotypes from the angle of vocal stereotype,aims to verify the existence of vocal trustworthiness stereotypes from both the explicit and implicit aspect.Also the study tries to explore the individual difference of vocal trustworthiness.Whether or not the activated vocal trustworthiness stereotypes will affect the trust behavior.Based on these ideas above,this study designed one pre-study and three formal studies.The pre-study is to collect vocal materials for the formal experiments and to explore the individual differences of the vocal trustworthiness.Study 1 is to use the of combination of free association test,adjective checklist and adjective assessment to directly measure the content of vocal trustworthiness stereotypes of college students.Study 2 is to further verify the existence of vocal trustworthiness stereotypes from the implicit level,and to explore the relationship between explicit trustworthiness stereotypes and implicit trustworthiness stereotypes.Study 3 is based on the first two studies,and to verify whether the activation of vocal trustworthiness stereotypes will influence the individual trust behavior?The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Similar to the vocal attractiveness stereotypes,the vocal trustworthiness stereotype is also existent,and the explicit vocal trustworthiness stereotypes and the implicit vocal trustworthiness stereotypes are consistent.That is,groups with high credibility of voice will be given more positive and trustworthy qualities,while those with low credibility of voice will be given more negative and untrustworthy qualities.(2)The male group with high credibility will obtain more trust than the female,while the male with low credibility will be less trusted by the female with low credibility.(3)On the whole,women's voices are more trustworthy than men's.(4)When the individual voice credibility stereotype is activated,it will have a certain effect on its behavior:the behavior effect that is consistent with the activated content.
