A Study Of Zhou Youguang' S Ineffectiveness And Modernization Of Chinese Characters

This paper mainly studies Zhou Youguang's theory on the inefficiency of Chinese characters.In analyzing this problem,learning from other related linguistic research results,this paper combines the methods of historical description and analysis.The performance,reasons and solutions of Chinese characters' inefficiency are comprehensively and carefully discussed.This paper especially reviews the achievements in improving the efficiency of Chinese characters in the process of Chinese language modernization and demonstrates Zhou Youguang's achievements in related aspects.The macro performance of Chinese characters' inefficiency is the narrowing of the cultural circle of Chinese characters,mainly manifested in learning and applying Chinese characters.In learning,the concrete performance of Chinese characters'inefficiency is difficult to recognize,read,understand,write,find,and remember.In application,the concrete performance is showed in 4 aspects:more complicated strokes,more characters,the disorder of pronunciation and the difficulty in retrieving.The reasons for the inefficiency of Chinese characters are specifically analyzed from the perspective of the historical evolution and the reality type of the characters.From the perspective of historical evolution,Chinese characters are still at the stage of classical writing in the history of world writing history,it has caused Chinese characters to be inefficient.From the point of view of the real type,due to the wave of phonology in the world,the system of Chinese characters still belongs to ideographic characters and leads to the inefficiency of Chinese characters.As the classical Chinese characters have a huge amount,it became the only surviving ideogram.There are three ways to make up for the inefficiency.First,optimize it system to help simplify the Chinese characters.Second,combine the internal and external,improve the phonetic function of Chinese characters.Third,carry out the system reform of Chinese characters,realize the phonetic spelling of Chinese characters.Only in accordance with the laws of the development of the text reform,reform the system of Chinese characters,and then to achieve the Chinese characters from ideographic to phonetic transcription into words.This is the fundamental way to solve the problem of inefficiency of Chinese characters.China has found the road is that Chinese characters are used together with Chinese Pinyin as an auxiliary tool to make Chinese written language.With the effective promotion of mandarin,standard Chinese characters and hanyu pinyin,and protected by Law of the People's Republic of China on the Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language.We can see that the modernization of Chinese characters plays an important role in Chinese teaching,modern information processing,the development of minority languages and international exchanges.Reference to the international Vietnamese characters,the Korean alphabet Pinyin,recorded outside the Central Asian Chinese dialects of Donggan dialects of Chinese,Pinyin of Yi ethnic minority in Sichuan,together with the local Pinyin(the successful experience in Jiang Yong Nv Shu)and so on.We have reason to believe that the road to spelling Chinese characters and modernizing Chinese characters is scientific and advanced,and will be realized one day.
