This study tests the students' cognitive style and fear of negative evaluation,which has good reliability and validity.The effect of on illusion of transparency is investigated,and the interaction effect of cognitive style and fear of negative evaluation on illusion of transparency is examined.The illusion of transparency is a propensity when an individual thinks their internal information is disclosed to others,which exists in many kinds of interpersonal interactions.Perceptual bias and illusion of transparency form when people judge other's awareness extent of their own internal information.The individual perceptual bias is a key factor influencing the illusion of transparency,cognitive style and fear of negative evaluation also affect the individual perceptual cue.The research contains two folds,1)an individual hides their internal information in front of others;2)an individual delivers their internal information to others.The results show that:1.Regardless of self-expression or self-hidden situations,cognitive style has an effect on the illusion of transparency,field independent style has an intenser perceptual bias.2.The individual with strong fear of negative evaluation has an intenser perceptual bias compared to the individual with weak fear of negative evaluation when internal information is hided.The individual with weak fear of negative evaluation has an intenser perceptual bias compared to the individual with strong fear of negative evaluation when internal information is transmitted.3.The interaction effect of cognitive style and fear of negative evaluation on illusion of transparency is remarkable in each situation.The conclusion of the study is:cognitive style has an impact on the illusion of transparency,cognitive style and negative evaluation fears have a significant interaction with illusion.
